A beer never hurts

Hello from Lower Bavaria.

Approximately an hour’s drive away from Munich airport, in the middle of lower bavaria, you can find the pictorial village Mariakirchen. There, Georg of Closen built the nowadays well-known moated castle in the year 1550. Across the centuries the substance of the building deteriorated enormously. 2003 it got restored costly together with the stablings. The „Schlossbräu“ Mariakirchen (castle brewery) arose including an inhouse brewery and a homey beer garden.

Commited to the bavarian purity law the beer is brewed according to old recipe. Unstrained and natural beers originate from pure and fresh spring water in the coppery brewing kettles. They are especially tasty in conjunction with a proper bavarian snack under the bohemian vault or under old chestnut trees in the beer garden with a view to the moated castle. The kitchen uses only organic meat, which comes mainly from our own free-range grazing in Leberfing, which is five kilometers away from Mariakirchen.
